What a fantastic summer! In principle, I have only painted outdoors for the past few weeks and have enjoyed the beautiful weather which has done wonders for my inspiration. I have really discovered that it is so important to take breaks from the art and not just drive on. The inspiration and emotions you have when painting and creating are what comes out on the canvas. I think this painting is so exciting as it happens so much. There are many soft sections combined with more dramatic ones and I love the round "swirl" which almost looks like a shell, in the left middle of the painting. Note also the little bear that sits completely by the water itself.
